Can we believe in Ramayanam? - Answered!
Came across a post on FB this, thought of posting it along with a translated version.
It always depends on the way you take it and believe it. Beautiful answer for a common question.

"Yesterday, I inaugurated the 31st NIPM National Conference at Kochi where a number of HR managers, industrialists, academicians and students were present. There I met a special person who was given a special recognition amidst the gathering. His name is Shri Kochouseph Chittilappilly (in pic) and he is a well-known industrialist in the field of electrical equipment, construction and services in ...

In 2011, in a touching gesture of giving, Mr. Chittilappilly donated his own kidney to an unknown ailing poor truck driver. This set in motion a unique movement called, “The Kidney Chain”, wherein a relative of one patient would donate to another patient, whose relative will in turn donate onwards and so on. Moreover, over 500 employees of his own company pledged to donate their organs after death.
What a great spirit of giving is exhibited by this self-made industrialist. Yesterday, when I saw the radiant smiling face of Mr. Chittilappilly, one thought immediately came to my mind – Giving makes you happy.
A true hero for the What Can I Give Mission"

Breakfast with Dosa
Someone commented someone's FB status regarding breakfast with Dosa (South Indian dish). Thought of posting it as it sounded yummy!!!
A mild fry of garlic, chili powder, ghee and salt.. that is instant melaga podi for rapid breakfast feast for dosa.
Will try this some weekend!!!

First Microsoft Event that I attended - Web Camp @ Hyderabad, AndhraPradesh, India
I have attended the MS Web camp held @ Hyderabad last Thrusday (16th June, 2011). This is the first MS event that I have attended.
It all started with a descriptive session on the new features in HTML 5, by Siva Kumar Tangudu.
It was then followed by a LIVELY session by N. Parasuram on Web Sockets, Web storage (IndexedDB).
And then, a very informative session on the most sought out for topic in web development - Building Cross-borwser websites with HTML 5 by Rajasekharan Vengalil.
Then a sumptuous meal :)
Afternoon sessions started with Abhijit Jana giving an accoutn of what all is new in VS 2010 SP1.
Then, started the longest session of the day by Harish Ranganathan on MVC 3, EntityFramework 4.1 and Cofe-First development.
And at the end, was the most interesting of all - The Q&A session.
I have uploaded here, some of the notes that I managed to note down during the event.
All-in-All, the quality of interaction and the knowledge-sharing that happened during the event was really high and impressive.
Looking forward to attend the next event!!!

Windows Server App Fabric introductory session by Charan Kawal Singh Bhatia @ AIS-IDC
Attended an introductory session on Windows Server App Fabric given by one of my new colleagues Charan Bhatia.
It was a useful one, with a candid introduction to the tool for someone like me, who never knew anything other than its name.
From what I remember and what I understood at a higher level, App Fabric is a monitoring tool that monitors the WCF web services hosted on IIS 7.x or above. The services should be built on .Net Framework 4.0. App Fabric was designed keeping in view its use for Azure.
The minimum pre-requisites include IIS 7.x, WAS, services built on .Net Framework 4.0.
There were some contructive questions as well, like,
How App Fabric differs from WCF trace and diagnostics utilities?
Answer: App Fabric has much more advanced features compared to the WCF trace and diagnostics. For example, Distributed Caching, etc., which will be dealt with in the next session on this Friday (11/02/2011)
Can we monitor classic web services (.asmx) in the same way as WCF through App Fabric?
This proved to eb a good question as Charan was really interested in researching on it and coming up with an answer soon.
Is there a way we can configure the App Fabric such that it only monitors a subset of the services deployed on the server?
Answer: Yes, of course. We have to decrease the level of monitoring to the least level (which means "Off") at the service level, for whichever services we don't want the it to monitor.
It was an interesting and useful session, evident fromt he way it was stretched almost unknowingly, from the scheduled 30 minutes to around 90 minutes.
The second part of the session is scheduled on this Friday (11/02/2011). This deals with, Distributed Caching through Windows Server App Fabric.

He was awarded with Padma Sri by the Government of India in 1968 and was popularly adored as Viswa Vikhyatha Nata Saarvabhowma.
Person who brought a distinguished identity to Andhra Paadesh as a state and recognition to the Telugu language. He will be remembered as long as Telugu is be spoken.
